A 10-year-old girl whose disappearance sparked an urgent police search has been found “safe and well”.
Sussex Police said Willow Daubeny was reported missing on Saturday afternoon, having been last seen just before 1.30pm in Florence Park in Chichester.
Concerns were growing for her welfare and she was thought to be travelling on foot, the force said.
She was found “safe and well” less half an hour after police issued a public appeal,
Chichester Police said: “We’re pleased to report 10-year-old Willow Daubeny is safe and well.
“Willow had been reported missing from Chichester, but was found in the city this afternoon.
“Thank you to everyone who cared and shared our appeal.”
The force had earlier shared a photo of Willow wearing a yellow jumper with a large ‘H’ on the front, which she was thought to have been wearing.
Before the girl was found, a Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Police are urgently searching for missing Willow Daubeny.
“Willow was last seen around 1.25pm on Saturday (January 16) in Florence Park, Chichester, and concerns are growing for her welfare.
“She is white, approximately 4ft 3ins, of medium build and with long, wavy brown hair.
“She is wearing a yellow jumper with a big ‘H’ on the front, dark grey/black tracksuit bottoms, and yellow and pink sparkly wellington boots.
“She is thought to be travelling on foot.
